Why can’t summer last forever? During the month of August, the Island Farm cookhouse will be preserving summer’s bounty by making quick pickles and fig preserves. Visitors will be able to learn about summertime 19th century food preservation techniques and take-home recipes. Samples will be provided once the pickles are completed.
