On Thursday, August 17th at 10 a.m. come to Island Farm to celebrate the 15th birthday of the farm’s beloved bovine, Roxanna, or Roxie for short. Roxie arrived on the farm as a yearling in June of 2009 and has been capturing the hearts of visitors ever since. On her birthday, visitors can expect to get up close and personal with Roxie while feeding her treats such as cucumbers, watermelon or sweet potato. Party guests will join in the singing of ‘Happy Birthday’ as farm staff bring out a cow-safe cake for and her animal friends to enjoy. Festivities will last about thirty minutes and are included with general admission.
