Celebrate the arrival of fall with fun, family-friendly activities at Island Farm’s 15th Annual Pumpkin Patch! The first four Saturdays in October, step back in time at Island Farm, where you’ll find a treasure trove of fall games, local pumpkins, and exciting activities for all ages.

About the 15th Annual Pumpkin Patch at Island Farm in Manteo, NC.
This year’s Pumpkin Patch will feature plenty of pumpkins – grown locally in Chowan County by a descendant of Island Farm in Manteo, North Carolina. During the event, visitors will enjoy historic games, doll crafting, candle making, samples of apple cider and popcorn, giveaways from the blacksmith, and a new lineup of fall activities including a nail-driving contest, jumbo bubbles, a fresh maze design, corn tunnel and opportunities to feed livestock!
All activities are included with the general cost of admission. During the event, the Farm will also host a maker’s market which will feature a variety of local artists, craftsmen, and food for purchase.
Event Highlights Include:
- Historic games, from a nail driving contest to candlemaking and jumbo bubbles
- Hands-on doll crafting and candle making
- Delicious open-fire popcorn and fresh apple cider
- Free blacksmith shop giveaways
- Local art and food vendors
Island Farm is a living history farm located on the north-end of Roanoke Island; it offers a trip back in time to the 1850’s along the Outer Banks through hands-on activities, historic building tours, demonstrations, working livestock, and more. Open Tuesday through Friday, the living history site offers live interpretation, daily mini-programs and special weekend events. The farmstead is located at 1140 N US Highway 64, north of Manteo, on Roanoke Island.
